Aquia Evening Lions Announce April 18 Monte Carlo Night: A Beloved Annual Fundraiser Returns
The Aquia Evening Lions are gearing up for one of their most anticipated traditions as they prepare to host their annual Monte Carlo Night on April 18. Well‑known throughout the community as an evening of excitement, good‑natured competition, and charitable spirit, the fundraiser brings neighbors together for a great cause. The Aquia evening lions have been hosting this fundraiser for over 30 years!
Monte Carlo Night transforms the clubhouse, now the Borinquen restaurant, into a lively casino‑themed space, complete with blackjack, roulette, and craps tables run by friendly volunteers. Guests can also enjoy raffles, silent auction items, a buffet of appetizers included with their ticket, and a cash bar. The event is designed to be fun for newcomers and seasoned attendees alike, making it a true community favorite.
While the evening promises entertainment, its impact goes far beyond the gaming tables. Funds raised during Monte Carlo Night directly support the Aquia Evening Lions’ service projects across Stafford and surrounding areas. These include providing vision screenings for children, supplying eyeglasses to residents in need, contributing to local food pantries, supporting youth programs, and awarding scholarships to Stafford County Students. Every ticket purchased and every chip played helps the Lions continue their mission of serving others. Club members emphasize that community participation is the heart of the event. We look forward to Monte Carlo Night all year. It’s more than just a fundraiser, it’s a chance for neighbors to come together and support programs that truly make a difference!
The Aquia Evening Lions invite all residents to join them on April 18 for an evening of fun with purpose. Those interested in attending or learning more about the club’s service work can connect with members at their regular meetings starting at 6:30 at the Harbour Inn, the fourth Thursday of each month.
